The New Learning Therapy Center (NLTC) was founded in 1993 as a center for quality clinical services and training.

Initiated by its President, Dr. Laura Lustig, the mission of the center is to provide opportunities for collaborative work and creative program development to benefit both the professional community and the public. NLTC has an interdisciplinary staff of licensed psychologists, social workers, and marriage and family therapists. With specialties in: young children, adolescents, ADHD, testing and evaluation; individual, couples and family therapy; anxiety and panic disorders, domestic violence, and substance abuse problems.
The New Learning Therapy Center works with other agencies, schools and professionals to provide continuity of care. We offer individual, couples and family therapies, as well as a broad range of specialty services. Specialized groups for children are offered for helping with social skills in grades 3 - 12, anger/impulse control for ages 8 - 12, and a group for children handling loss and grief.
NLTC developed a Consultation and Evaluation Service to provide a comprehensive range of testing services and consultations. Parenting consultations are available to help parents, step parents, and parent school relations. Adult groups include programs for anxiety and panic. Brief consultations for couples offer the opportunity to do focused solution oriented problem solving on specific areas of difficulty.

The New Learning Therapy Center for Professional Development has been approved to offer continuing education for psychologists by the American Psychological Association, for social workers by the National Association of Social Workers/CT, and to offer specific programs for marriage and family therapists in CT, MA and RI by Family Development Associates. NLTC has also been approved by the State of CT Department of Education to offer CEU credits for educational programs for school professionals.

NLTC provides speakers for community groups and agencies, such as PTA's and local libraries, and has sponsored community forums on parenting, fathering, and character development. We also offer college courses for graduate and undergraduate credit in affiliation with Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT.
