The New Learning Center
offers professional services for individual, couples and families. Our
staff helps individuals and families learn skills to create effective
solutions to life challenges. Our staff of licensed psychologists,
social workers, marriage and family therapists include specialists in
depression, anxiety disorders, adulthood transitions, domestic violence,
family issues, substance abuse, chronic physical and cognitive disabilities.
EVALUATION
SERVICES
Both young and older
adults can require assessment for learning or attention problems that
are interfering with college or job performance, or evaluation of emotional
issues such as depression. The New Learning Center offers a full range
of comprehensive and targeted evaluations for attention deficit disorders,
learning disabilities, emotional problems, and evaluative consultations.
Our staff works in partnership with individuals, families and schools
to provide evaluations which result in individualized plans.
SEPARATION,
DIVORCE AND RECOVERY
When separation
or divorce are considered, the New Learning Center can offer information
and help that are needed to proceed in a manner supportive to the family.
Brief consultations focus on handling the emotional issues of separation,
life planning, and the effects of divorce on the individuals, the couple
and the family. This kind of work can help the entire family create
a new vision for life after the divorce, with special attention to the
needs of children and the responses of extended family, sharing responsibilities
in alternating homes, co-parenting, and developing new approaches to
family celebrations and traditions. Sensitive issues such as single
parent dating and feeling positive about oneself as a single person
are also addressed.
GROUP
PROGRAMS
The New Learning
Center offers specialized groups to meet specific areas of need.
Groups are scheduled periodically depending on the need. Please call
